Accra, 29 October 2025 – The new Volkswagen T-Cross has arrived in Ghana and is set to redefine the local compact SUV market with its fresh design.
The new compact SUV is offered in two derivatives, Comfortline and Highline, both powered by 1.6l MPI 81kW engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Designed to build on the solid foundation of the outgoing T-Cross, the new model brings a more sophisticated look, elevated interior finishes, advanced technology, and improved safety features.
The new T-Cross makes a bold visual statement with a new front bumper design and a redesigned radiator grille. The front-end features LED headlights with daytime running lights (DRL) while the rear now includes new LED taillights with an illuminated rear light strip giving it a striking, contemporary finish. Additionally, there is a new exterior colour- Pyrite Silver metallic- that adds to the rich colour palette on offer.
Inside, the interior features soft-touch dashboard panels, new finishes, and enhanced front door trims including a 10-inch “semi-floating“ infotainment display paired with a digital cockpit and wireless smartphone charging, now standard across the range. On the Comfortline there are leatherette seats while the Highline offers leather seats with stylish stitching as standard.
For safety and convenience, the new T-Cross offers a cruise control system with speed limiter, a rear-view camera, front and rear park distance control and a driver alert system. Both trims have the 16-inch Belmont alloy wheel as standard while a new 17-inch alloy wheel is available as an option on the Highline.
The 1.6l MPI engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission produces 81kW of power with a maximum torque of 200Nm.
The Volkswagen T-Cross comes standard with a 3 year/120 000km warranty and a 12-year anti-corrosion warranty.
The service interval is 10 000km or 1 year
